<p>Following is the solution:</p>
<p>FTP to the folder in which the WordPress is installed and get back the file wp-config.php<br />
change<br />
the define(&#8216;DB_CHARSET&#8217;, &#8216;utf-8&#8242;)<br />
to<br />
define(&#8216;DB_CHARSET&#8217;, &#8221;), and put the file back. And then the chinese characters could be displayed.</p>
